Putting the learning into Professional Learning Communities is the responsibility of middle managers just as much as it is the responsibility of senior leaders. Outstanding middle managers successfully inspire learning in students and colleagues.
Influencing teaching and learning in colleagues’ classrooms requires a different skills set from those used in the classroom and these need to be complemented with a different way of thinking.
In this two day programme we will look at:
- Raising personal consciousness of what professional school leadership is
- Expanding complexity management skills sets
- Developing the courage to remain independent and autonomous of thought without being unnecessarily dragged into others’ issues
- Creating an environment of openness and sense of professional vulnerability in teams and within professional relationships,
- Developing leadership communication skills
These are the requisite requirements for both new and experienced middle managers.
Day One: Tuesday, 8th November
Day Two: Thursday, 10th November
